Apart from the wheels, one thing that really wrecked the appearance was the shredded old Weathershields roof. The vinyl was torn down the length of both sides and most of the metal work had long since rusted out from the inside. I had previously patched it up many times in the past with black carpet tape(!), but lacking the skills to do it properly I finally decided to take it to the professionals. I removed what was left of the roof, bundled it up and sent it off to R & S Coachbuilts who specialise in repairing and supplying Webasto/Britax Weathershield type sunroofs. It came back about a month later as good as new and I would highly recommend the service. It did cost an eye-watering amount of money but it was worth every penny!
