This close up of the join between sill and wheelarch shows a notable rust trap. On my car the tops of the rear wings had rotted right through and let water into this area so as a consequence there was very little of this part of the sill left. I made sure to give it plenty of paint and later squirted vast amounts of rust prevention wax into these areas. You can also see here how I crudely chopped the bottom of the rear wing away. This was fine since I was replacing the whole of the lower wing anyway, if you're only replacing the sills then be a bit more careful!
